EXQUISITE FRENCH ENGRAVED GLASS PERSONAL PERFUME SCENT BOTTLE WITH BOTTOM CAP AND LID IN STERLING SILVER BY MARIA REMY, PARIS c1900
This is an exquisite antique French engraved glass personal perfume or scent bottle with a base and cap made by Maria Remy, Paris, between 1894 and 1924.  The bottle is 3-1/8" tall, 1-5/8" wide and about 5/8" deep.  The glass has a laurel garland and torch design.  The bottom cap is marked with the French minerva mark for .925 sterling silver purity and bears the MR hallmark of Maria Remy.  It is also numbered "1."  The cap, numbered "2," is also hallmarked by Remy and also has the French hallmark for sterling silver. The cap screws off and the bottom encasement for the bottle can slide off to view the marks. We should note the bottom of the glass bottle is finely polished by hand. The piece has no damage and the bottom cap and lid weigh 20.5 grams.  There is no damage.
