Description
For your consideration is anOpalescent Vaseline Glass Vase
fashioned in the
Horse Chestnut Leaf pattern
. It was produced by the old Stourbridge firm of Richardson, England, c.1890. This is an outstanding example of
Art Nouveau
glassware.
This vase is mold blown, has a crimped rim and a smooth pontil.
Because the glass contains uranium, it produces a fluorescent green color when subjected to black light.
When viewed with standard lighting it shows beautiful shades of gold.
The vase is in excellent condition with no chips, repairs, cracks, scratches or water stains.
It measures 4” in height and has a diameter of 5-1/2” across the top and 3” across the bottom.
It was produced by the old Stourbridge firm of Richardson, England, c.1890.
